Authorities are investigating how a woman was able to board a Delta flight without a boarding pass Saturday. “Delta apologizes to customers of flight 1516 for the delay after a person not ticketed for that flight was removed from the aircraft,” Morgan Durrant, a Delta Air Lines representative, said.According to a passenger on the flight bound for Atlanta, it was discovered the woman was without a plane ticket after she refused to get out of a passengers’ seat.”Delta is working with local law enforcement and the Transportation Security Administration on their investigation and we are conducting our own review of this as well. Safety and security is always our top priority,” Durrant said.The flight, which was initially scheduled to leave for Atlanta at 10:20 a.m. had to return to the gate to re-screen passengers. TSA confirmed with WESH 2 News that the individual that was removed from the plane was screened.
