2 kids, 1 adult displaced after fire at three-story home in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Fire crews responded to a reports of a house fire in the area of Brookfield Street in the city’s Behind the Rocks neighborhood.

When they arrived on scene, a heavy fire spread through the first and second floor of the three-story, single-family home.

The fire was eventually put under control and after a thorough search firefighters confirmed that there were no people trapped or injured in the building.

As investigations into the cause of the fire commence, the Hartford Fire Marshal’s office will lead efforts to determine the origin and circumstances surrounding the fire, ensuring that all necessary measures are taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Due to the extensive damage on the home, Hartford’s Special Services Unit will work with the American Red Cross to provide assistance to any individuals or households displaced by the incident.
