No-limit hold’em may be, as some say, the Cadillac of poker. But there are other games poker players love. And that’s why the 2019 Poker Masters should be an entertaining series.

The series kicks off on November 4 with a $10,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament and then concludes with five additional NLH events. In between, however, you’ll find four non-NLH tournaments, all at the $10,000 buy-in level.

Non-NLH Tournaments

  • Pot Limit Omaha (November 5)
  • Short Deck (November 6)
  • 8-Game (November 7)
  • Big Bet (NLH, PLO,2-7 SD) (November 8)

*$10,000 buy-in each.

All 10 events are scheduled for two days with the final tables to air live on the PokerGo app. The upcoming series is the third annual Poker Masters.

Although other poker games will be featured during the series, the 2019 Poker Masters’ focuses more heavily on no-limit hold’em than any other game. In total, six of the 10 tournaments will be NLH events including the final five days. The schedule of NLH events includes a $10,000 buy-in (November 4), three at $25,000 (November 9, 10, and 11), one $50,000 tournament (November 12), and the series finale for $100,000 (November 13).

Each tournament is rake-free so long as the player buys in prior to the start of the event. Rake will be charged for late entries.

Recapping Last Year’s Series

Ali Imsirovic won the Purple Jacket last year, awarded to the overall series champion. He put on quite a show, winning $25,000 and $50,000 no-limit hold’em events, along with an eighth place finish in a $10,000 NLH tournament. In total, he cashed for $1,288,000 during the series.

But David Peters had the highest earnings during the 2018 Poker Masters – $1,343,200. He also won two events including the $100,000 finale for $1,150,000.

Peters also crushed it at the US Poker Open, another high roller series from Poker Central. He shipped the $100,000 Main Event along with the overall series title.

You can expect to catch Peters, Imsirovic, and many of the other top high rollers in the world on the felt during the 2019 Poker Masters. Events such as these attract the best of the best, and also some wealthy recreational players who want to test their skill against the top pros.
