Grady Spurgeon Wann, II, of Chester, VA, went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 2, 2008. He was born July 1, 1932, the son of the late Grady S., and Antoinette Kelly Wann, and grew up in the West Chester, PA area. Grady was a veteran, serving four years in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He spent 31 years with IBM, retiring in 1985, and later did custom woodworking for 16 years in California. Grady will be best remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and as a faithful church member. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dottie Green Wann; four sons, Grady S. Wann, III and wife Jane of Healdsburg, CA, Kenneth D. Wann and wife Susan of Lone Tree, CO, Eric Wann and wife Debbie of Chesterfield, VA, and Kelly Wann and wife Becky of Chester; VA; nine grandchildren, Joshua, Jennifer, Lauren, Kelson, Brittany, Michael, Becca, Sequoia, and Jackson. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2008, 2:30 p.m. at Ironbridge Baptist Church, Chester.
