One person was found dead in an apparent shooting at an illegal marijuana grow site in an unincorporated area of Perris on Sunday night.
Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department responded to a shooting on the 27000 block of Lemon Avenue just after 7 p.m., the Sheriff’s Department said in a Monday statement.
Once in the area, officials said the deputies found a deceased man who was an apparent victim of a shooting. The area the man was found dead in was deemed an illegal marijuana cultivation site.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Department’s homicide unit are investigating the incident.
Information on the identity of the man found dead was not immediately available.
