HONOLULU – The Hawai’i women’s cross country team picked up its second straight win to start the season with another dominant effort to take the Chaminade Invitational Saturday morning at Kapi’olani Park.
 
The Rainbow Wahine finished the meet with 19 points and locked down the top three individual spots, led by freshman Alexandra Zanon who took home the win with a time of 19:44. Ania Magdesian followed with a 20:04 to finish as the runner-up while Alize Garcia Parsons in third place with a mark of 20:11.
 
Nicole Sevcikova was the fourth UH finisher, coming in sixth with a time of 20:38 ahead of Melanie Pakingan who rounded out the Hawai’i scorers with a mark of 20:59 in seventh place.
 
The other eight Rainbow Wahine competing this season will run in the Mountain Regional Preview in Reno, Nev. on Monday morning beginning at 5:45 a.m. HT.
