Ronnie Bardah, a poker pro from Massachusetts who famously cashed in the World Series of Poker main event five consecutive times, is hoping for another deep run in a different competition.

The 36-year-old was selected as one of 20 cast members on the latest season of the CBS reality game show Survivor.

This is season 38 of the popular show, which will see Bardah and his castmates in the Mamanuca Islands of Fiji for Survivor: Island Of The Idols. The 90-minute season premiere is Sept. 25.

Former cast member ‘Boston’ Rob Mariano will return to the show, but not as a competitor. This time he will serve as one of the mentors to the rest of the players. Mariano has played plenty of poker himself, with several small cashes and nearly $150,000 in live tournament earnings. Other notables competing on this season include Olympic swimer Elizabeth Beisel, and NHL player Tom Laidlaw.

Bardah, who won a WSOP six-max limit hold’em bracelet back in 2012, is only the latest poker player to compete on the show.

Poker pros Jean-Robert Bellande, Garrett Adelstein, and Anna Khait were all contestants. Additionally, Ilari ‘Zigmund’ Sahamies competed on the Finnish version of the show, while bracelet winner Jackie Glazier was on the Australian version.

Maria Ho and Tiffany Michelle famously competed on The Amazing Race. Vanessa Rousso made the top three in Big Brother, as did David Williams on MasterChef.
