For this project we worked to design a stool in conjunction with BoConcept Vancouver for the new Emily Carr University campus. The stool will be a part of a series of three; sitting, counter and bar height. These stools are designed for commercial use and need to be functional as well as durable to stand the test of time. They must withstand the hard wear and tear of students.

BoConcepts Collection is currently lacking commercial grade stools, therefore, they will be looking to add the successful design to their collection, which will be shown worldwide. However it will also be important for these stools to blend into the home environment, and to be adaptable for each situation.

As such when designing for this project it is important for our team to take into consideration what BoConcept represents. Giving the opportunity for customization in finishes. The stools will be manufactured locally, using locally sourced wood.
